What information we collect
- What you hand us. Your name, phone number, email address, service address and whatever you tell us about the plumbing problem, whether you call, text, email or send the request form on this site.
- What the website records. Standard server and analytics information such as pages viewed, approximate location and the browser you used.
We do not collect payment card numbers on this website.
How we use your information
We use your information to answer you, schedule and perform plumbing work, send quotes and invoices, follow up afterwards, and ask how we did. That is the whole list. We do not sell your information.
SMS text messaging and opt-in
You opt in to SMS text messages by checking the consent checkboxes on our service request form, or by calling or texting us first. Consent is optional and never a condition of purchase. If you opt in, we may text you about your service request, appointment times, follow-up and occasional offers from Swamp City Plumbing. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop receiving texts and HELP for help. Opting out of texts does not stop us from calling or emailing you about work in progress.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing with subcontractors that provide support services, such as our scheduling and customer messaging platform, is permitted solely so that we can communicate with you. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third party.
Who else sees it
Only the people and services that help us do the job: our scheduling and customer messaging platform, our email provider, our website host, and any subcontractor we bring onto your job. Each of them may only use your information to provide that service to us. We also disclose information where the law requires it.
Cookies and tracking
This site uses a small number of cookies and similar technologies for basic analytics, such as which pages get visited and roughly where visitors come from. We do not run advertising trackers and we do not sell browsing data. You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings and the site will still work.
Data security
Your information lives in a small number of access-controlled systems: our scheduling and messaging platform, our email, and our website host. The site is served over HTTPS, access is limited to the people who need it to do your job, and we do not store payment card numbers on this website.
How long we keep it
As long as we need it to service your account and to satisfy tax, warranty, permitting and licensing obligations. Florida contractors are required to keep certain job records, so an old invoice may outlive your relationship with us.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time what information we hold on you, ask us to correct or update it, or ask us to delete what we are not legally required to keep. Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
